Dr. Halil Ibrahim Tekin:
A Pioneer in Fertility

Born on September 8, 1962, in Nicosia, Dr. Halil Ibrahim Tekin attended Galatasaray High School and later graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty in 1987, briefly specializing in forensic medicine. Dr. Tekin furthered his expertise abroad, working with Prof. C. Proy in Endocrinological Surgery at Lille University, France, in 1985. He served as an emergency physician and forensic doctor in Denizli State Hospital (1987–1989) and earned an Emergency Medicine Certificate from Ankara Numune Hospital in 1988.

In 1995, Dr. Tekin completed his specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Zeynep Kamil Hospital. In 1997, he trained his practices extensively and collaborated with pioneers like Prof. T. Atasu, Prof. U. Özekici, and Prof. Sahmay.

In 2000, he established the first IVF center in Northern Cyprus, pioneering egg donation in the country and achieving global recognition. By 2017, with over 28,500 IVF procedures performed and nearly 25,000 families helped, Dr. Tekin had become a world leader in fertility.

Opened in 2025, our Batumi Center builds on Dr. Tekin’s legacy, leveraging Georgia’s supportive legal framework and affordability. We offer IVF, egg/sperm donation, embryo donation, gender selection, and PGD, supported by state-of-the-art embryology labs. Georgia’s surrogacy and reproductive laws since 1997 make Batumi an ideal destination for international patients. We serve over 250 families annually from countries like the UK, USA, China, Norway, and Australia.
